Meet the Staff:
Fred Gunter; Owner and Climbing Guide
Fred's climbing resume includes summiting the highest peaks in North America and South America as well as rock climbing expeditions to far-flung locales like Brazil, Norway, and Baffin Island. He's passionate about local climbing and fostering an appreciation for the region's gritstone crags. Ask Fred about building his own house, car, airplane, and more!
Susan Gunter; Administrator and Assistant Kayaking Instructor
Susan has accompanied Fred on climbing and mountaineering trips to Iceland and Mt. Ranier among many other places. A veteran outdoorswoman, school teacher, and mother of three boys, Susan's favorite pastimes now include kayaking and raising chickens.
Jesse Twichell; Kayaking Instructor
Jesse is an avid paddler who enjoys a variety of disciplines from canoeing to whitewater kayaking to stand up paddle boarding, but sea kayaking is his main on-water pursuit. He holds an ACA Level III kayaking instructor certification. When he's not upside down or sideways in the cockpit of his kayak you can find Jesse cutting, planning, or chiseling a piece of wood in his basement workshop.
George Ondish; Kayaking Instructor
As a doctor of chiropractic medicine George understands how the body works, and brings that knowledge to his kayaking students when teaching. He holds an ACA Level III Kayaking Instructor certification. You'll be hard pressed to find a more enthusiastic educator of kayaking technique, but his skills don't stop at paddling and chiropractic. Look for George on the local mountain bike and xc ski trails as well...if you can catch up to him.
